News | SCRAWL - Exquisite Corpse

A temporary exhibit derived from the surrealist's “Exquisite Corpse” technique involving 48 artists using limited drawing media. Artists are given roughly a 9'x9' area of wall, floor and window of the gallery with a limited set of rules true to form: 1| work in isolation, 2| connect with adjacent artist's work to enforce cohesion. This 7 week event/spectacle was designed to celebrate large scale, embodied drawing.

My response uses the white space of the painted wall to ask questions about placement, orientation, and ownership.
